"I feel like every single cat should be wearing one of these if they are outside to reduce the amount of birds they catch"  This statement still stands 7 years later.  I started Kiwi Cat Collars in 2015 when I was a student and a new mum who was home all day with the baby. I was dismayed by the amount of birds and skinks my cat was catching.   I went down a rabbit hole of scientific papers trying to work out how I could do better to keep the wildlife in my backyard safe.   In 2015 I couldn't find any sort of "anti-predation" cat collar cover in New Zealand, so my mother-in-law and I designed our own.  I still sew these in our home today, the kids will be able to do it soon enough!  The feedback and the positive reviews on their efficacy keeps me going.   I stand by my commitment to get every single outdoor cat in New Zealand to wear a Kiwi Cat Collar cover and a bell.
